Today was a big day. Both boys started a new chapter of their school life.
Florian entered first grade. In German tradition, he had Schultuete with his school supplies and a few goodies. He was thrilled about his Federtasche and the matching Sportbeutel (both Rabe Socke, for those of you familiar with him). Florian continues to have Fr Obritzberger and Fr Japs. Both were excited to see him. I marveled at how tall all his friends had gotten!
Finn started pre-K today. He's been so excited about this step in his life and has been talking about it for quite some time. He announced as he entered the building today:"Herr Ben, I am in school now!" (Hr Ben has been the after-care provider and has known Finn since he was about 9 months old).
Finn is in Fr Niemeier's class. He seemed a little unsure about staying, but I think that was just the excitement wearing off. According to his teacher, he had a great day. According to the 10 minute cry-fest at bed time, he had a phenomenal day. LOL :)
Here's some pics for you.
